Guided hunts are designed to cater to those hunters who are interested in maximizing their time in pursuit of a trophy bull, buck, or bear. We offer guided hunts on a two-on-one basis. The hunts are conducted out of a full service wall tent based camp located in the West Elk Wilderness area. All you need to bring is your personal gear, a sleeping bag, and a strong desire to bag the "big one." We will pack you and your gear into our guided camp, provide you with a horse, prepare all of your meals, and assign an experienced guide to you for the duration of your stay. Game packing and field care is included in the guided hunt.

For those of you interested in "doing it yourself", we will pack you and your gear in on horseback to one of our fully equipped drop camps. Once you arrive at camp, our staff will provide an orientation of the area indicating the most productive hunting locations and techniques. Hunters are required to have game quartered and in camp prior to pack out. Game packing from the point of kill for drop camp hunter can be arranged for an additional charge.

Hunts include a day each for pack in and pack out. It takes a minimum of a half day to get from base camp to the wilderness drop camps. So plan on arriving early in the morning on the day you are scheduled to pack in.

Although we maintain hearty"mountain bred" livestock, there is a limit to what they can carry. Therefore, each hunter is limited to a maximum personal weight of 250 pounds and 70 pounds of gear. If you need additional mules/horses to pack in gear in excess of these amounts, there will be an extra charge per pack animal per day.
