We will pack you and your gear in on horseback to one of our fully equiped drop camps in the West Elk Wilderness. You bring your food, personal gear, and hunting license.
Hunts include a day to pack in, 5 days of hunting, and a day to pack out. Each hunter is allowed 120 lbs. for gear and food (weapon excluded). An additional pack animal can be purchased for $250 per pack animal for weight in excess of this.
It will take 1 to 4 hours (4-12 miles) on horseback to get to the drop camps, depending on the location. Hunters need to arrive at the ranch the evening before they are scheduled to pack into the drop camp.
Game will be packed out from the point of kill as long as we can get to it. If the point of kill is inaccessible by horse, the hunter will need to pack it to a point where it can be reached. Hunters are to have the game quartered prior to packing out.

We have an excellent success rate for both archery and rifle. The following are our averages:
Archery: 80% of our archery hunters have a shot at a legal bull within 40 meters, 20% harvest.
Rifle: 70% of our rifle hunters have a shot at a legal bull within 300 meters, 40% harvest.
The majority of our bulls will be 5x5's, with 1 out of 20 being a 350 class bull.
