We will pack you and your gear in on horseback to one of our fully equiped drop camps in the West Elk Wilderness. You bring your food, personal gear, and hunting license. At least one person in your group must bring an In Reach device so we can communicate with you at the camps.
Hunts include a day to pack in, minimum of 5 days of hunting, and a day to pack out. Each hunter is allowed 120 lbs. for gear and food, NO EXCEPTIONS. Archery/muzzleloader, 1st & 3rd rifle hunts require a minimum of
2 people, 2nd rifle hunts require a minimum of 4 people.
It will take 1 to 4 hours (4-12 miles) on horseback to get to the drop camps, depending on the location. Hunters need to arrive at the ranch the evening before they are scheduled to pack into the drop camp.
Game will be packed out from the nearest usable trail for horses that are approved by us. Trails that we need to cut our way into are not approved trails. Hunters are to have the game quartered prior to packing out.

We have an excellent success rate for both archery and rifle. The following are our averages:
Archery: 80% of our archery hunters have a shot at a legal bull within 40 meters, 20% harvest.
Rifle: 70% of our rifle hunters have a shot at a legal bull within 300 meters, 40% harvest.
The majority of our bulls will be 5x5's, with 1 out of 20 being a 350 class bull.
